When you walk through your front door, is your first thought, “I love my home!”? I believe everyone should love coming home and that a beautiful home does not have to be expensive or difficult to attain. It's all about creating a feeling of peace and tranquility with color, furniture and accessories.
Hygge (/ˈhjuːɡə/ HEW-gə or /ˈhuːɡə/ HOO-gə) is a Danish and Norwegian word which can be described as a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture). And, my motto of ‘love coming home’ truly embodies this word.
As an interior designer, I believe in helping my customers create an environment that is both functional and supportive of their lifestyle. I like to focus on decor that is simple, harmonious and comfortable to bring peace and joy. In order to do this, we need to purge our “stuff” and embrace the concept less is more. Beyond designing your home, I also help to educate you for long term home styling and functionality.
